£1 Nail polish

June 13, 2016

So usually I never paint my nails because of my course, I'm not allowed my finger nails painted but that doesn't mean I can't paint my toe nails ready for the sandal weather (since the weather has been lovely). I raided my mums collection and came across this beauty, it's new and I thought I'd try it out.

It's a lovely nude/brown colour but the brand isn't one I've ever heard of before so I asked my mum where she bought it from and I was really shocked to hear that she bought it in Pound Land! They apparently have a little range and she really liked the colour and thought it's worth a try since they're only £1 each. Amazing!

I was pleasently surprised as well. It has a lot of pros:

  • Quick drying
  • Good quality application wand
  • Only required 1 coat
  • Cheap to buy if you don't like spending loads
However there is one con: It didn't stay on very long and chipped easily. However, I have been working and wearing closed shoes so whether they chipped it or not I'm not sure.

I haven't tried removing it yet either because I have no nail polish remover here, it's at my university flat but I'm sure it won't be hard to take off, any good nail polish remover will get it off. So all in all, my mum being cheap really paid off and I'm shocked I haven't thought to try them sooner!

  1. Oooh this looks lovely - sometimes it doesn't matter if it's expensive or not, if you like the colour with a top coat you should be just fine! Gorgeous hun! :)
