September Birchbox

September 18, 2016

Hello lovelies,

Another month another Birchbox! This month's box was gorgeous, you can see above it has a lovely pastel pattern and I love it. It looks lovely sat on my makeup dresser. Anyway, enough about the box, it's what's inside that matters! Let's have a look what was inside:

So first of all I received Starskin's smoothing bio-cellulose eye mask. It's supposed to brighten the skin around the eye. You simply but them in the fridge for 10 minutes, then peel the masks off the paper and press them you your eye. They smell gorgeous since they have vitamin-rich coconut juice and lots of other healthy ingredients. I did feel a little stinging when I used mine but it wasn't really uncomfortable and it didn't leave any marks. They have a tendency to slip down your eyes too but other than that, I really liked this product!

Next I receive NUXE shower oil which you massage onto skin in the shower and then rinse away. I'm a little disappointed with the sample size but that's purely because this shower oil is amazing. I wish I'd have received more because I absolutely loved it. It smells gorgeous and when you squeeze it onto your hand it looks glittery.

The third product was this sample sized Jane Iredale primer. I haven't used this yet to review the product fully but I've heard of Jane Iredale before and there are a lot of positive reviews so I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

My fourth product was Amika bombshell blowout spray which you can use on damp or dry hair. It helps to volumise, smooth and texture hair. I did notice a change to volume when I sprayed it onto dry hair but I don't think it's AMAZING. I'd say you could probably find better. But it does leave a lovely smell in your hair which is always a bonus.

Last but not least my full sized product was ModelCo's highlighting trio. You can see it pictures above along with swatches. I love the colours in this highlighting trio but I must admit I'm not sure I would spend £14 on something so tiny. There is very little there to say it is a full sized product.

  1. Those highlighters look so pretty but I agree on the price and amount being a bit small!

  2. Hmmm, I can't say I'm overly impressed with this Birchbox. Some of the products do look nice and useful, but I don't know, this is why I don't do subscription boxes - they are just so hit and miss! I think that the highlighter trio looks lovely, but overpriced indeed! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts with us, hun. <3

    1. The mask is nice but again, I'm not sure if I would buy it very often when it's only single use!
