Pumpkin Carving for Halloween

October 30, 2016

Hello lovelies,

I realise I haven't been very active recently and I'm afraid it isn't going to get much better... Recently I have been ill, I've been on placement and I've been attending lectures. I will soon have a new job to go alongside all of this and when I haven't been working I have been relaxing (i.e. Sleeping!) But I had to drop in and show you my work of art this weekend.

It's Halloween tomorrow and this weekend I went home to Sheffield to do a bit of pumpkin carving with my mum and younger brother. This year is the first time I've carved my own pumpkin because I usually leave my mum to do it, I can't believe what I've been missing it was so much fun!

This was my pumpkin, can you tell what it is? If you can't it's my cat - Narla! I would have loved to do a detailed cat but by the time I'd finished emptying the pumpkin of all its seeds I was tired so I had to keep it simple and hope everyone could tell what it was!

Here it is lit up, I have some LED tea lights so I popped one of those in instead of reaching in there with a lighter to light a proper candle and it worked lovely as you can see, I'm quite proud of my first little pumpkin!
