Films I Watched in May

May 30, 2017

Hello lovelies, here is a collection of the films I watched this month along with a brief synopsis and my thoughts:

The Escort (2015)
"Desperate for a good story, a sex-addicted journalist throws himself into the world of high-class escorts when he starts following a Stanford-educated prostitute."

I loved this film, it's a romantic comedy where a sex-addicted journalist follows an escort around to try and write a story on her. The pair find out that they have one thing in common - their love of sex - and hit it off from there. It made me laugh and the ending was lovely, who doesn't like a happy ending?

My rating:

What's Your Number? (2011)
"A woman looks back at the past nineteen men she's had relationships with in her life and wonders if one of them might be her one true love."

A woman who has slept with 20 guys read a magazine article and decides she can't reach 21 guys. She sets out with the help of her neighbour to find all 20 ex's and see if one of them is Mr Right. I love this Rom Com, it's silly and funny and the perfect ending!

My rating:

The Mask (1994)
"Bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss is transformed into a manic superhero when he wears a mysterious mask."

This film is an oldie but I can't not watch it whenever it is on. It has Jim Carrey in, the comedy genius! It's stupid comedy but it's a real feel good film for me! I recommend this film if you need a little pick me up.

My rating:

Prometheus (2012)
"Following clues to the origin of mankind, a team find a structure on a distant moon, but they soon find they are not alone."

If you like films about aliens you will love this, a team of scientists are sent to follow clues and find out how mankind was made. They discover an alien like being on their adventures and set out to find out what it is.

My rating:

The Incredibles (2004)
"A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world."

Disney's Incredibles is a good film but one I can't watch over and over again. I watched it today for the first time in years and I loved it, it's really funny and a huge throwback. There is rumours around that there will soon be an Incredibles 2 so I will keep my eyes peeled.

My rating:

Suicide Squad (2016)
"A secret government agency recruits some of the most dangerous incarcerated super-villains to form a defensive task force. Their first mission: save the world from the apocalypse."

Absolutely loved this film, it has a great cast and the characters, although villains, are sooo likeable. It was a perfect mix of funny and I really loved Harlequin and the Joker, although he doesn't have that big a part. A cliff hanger style ending has left it open for a second film, I'm really hoping it happens.

My rating:

Have you seen any of these films?  If so what did you think of them? Lauren x
