Two Holiday Hair Essentials!

July 10, 2017

Hello lovelies,

I'm writing this post comfortably from a sun bed in sunny Rhodes, Greece. I have had a bit of writers block lately and wasn't planning on posting anything over my holiday but I had a little bit of inspiration I thought I might share. My hair is a nightmare especially on holiday and I honestly don't know what I would do without these two products.

Provoke Touch of Silver Shampoo
So if you follow me on Instagram (which you should) you will know I had my hair done before my holiday. You can see it in the picture to the right of this post above my "about me". The picture doesn't really do it much justice, you may not be able to tell that I have had silver put through it. Silver hair and chlorine water = Not a good combination. So I could not go anywhere without this shampoo.shampoo.

The shampoo is for blonde, platinum and white hair and it basically neutralises brassy tones and brightens your hair. You are only supposed to use it twice a week and it should stop your colour fading when you're on holiday (and in general). The shampoo itself is purple, it smells gorgeous to me and works really well. There is a conditioner but personally I find the shampoo is enough and I just use my normal colour protect conditioner. A 150ml bottle is just £15 from Boot.

Tangle Teezer
I always always always mention this when I talk about hair essentials and this post is no exception. I am known by my hairdresser as the girl with the nightmare hair because whenever it gets wet it becomes one great big mess! So imagine, getting out of the pool, hair wet, the breeze blowing it... Then it falls out of the bobble so I have to tie it back up again and after all this my hair is one big knot.

I'm not entirely sure how it works but it works! The thin bristles just glide through your hair and detangle as they go. It saves me a lot of pain and time so if you don't have one of these already I definitely recommend them. They come is a range of colours and shapes, mine is the original in purple with sparkles, I love it! Prices vary according to which style you get.

If you like the sound of these products you can find them using the link below. Thank you for reading, Lauren x

  2. I've never heard of this shampoo! I've heard lot's of good things about the tangle teaser but I don't brush my hair when it's wet since I have wavy hair.

  5. I hope that you are having an amazing time in Greece, hun! It must be so lovely and sunny there. :) <3 Also, thanks for sharing your essentials! I too am not sure what it is about detangling brushes, but for some reason they really work, and I can't imagine my haircare routine without using one! Thanks for sharing, and I hope you're having a fab week. xoxo

  7. I have frizzy hair so it tangles easily. But I never used a tangle teaser as I thought you're not supposed to comb your hair when wet as it causes hair fall. Do you think should give it a go? Does it cause hair fall when used on wet hair?

    1. With a usual brush my hair falls out because it pulls on the tangles, with the tangle Teezer is does not cause my hair to fall out, I would look into how they work with frizzy hair! I have straight so I cannot comment!
