Films I Watched in August

August 30, 2017

Hello lovelies, here is a collection of the films I watched this month along with a brief synopsis and my thoughts:

Ted 2 (2015)

This is a comedy about a teddy bear which came to life, in the second film he gets married and wants to adopt but encounters a couple of issues. Anyone who saw the first film will know that this teddy bear isn't sweet... He does drugs, he drinks and talks pure filth! The second film is absolutely hilarious is you love rude humour, it's definitely a film to cheer you up if you're feeling sad! I only gave it three stars because although it's hilarious it isn't one of the best films I've ever seen so it isn't going to be up their with my five star favourites!

My rating:

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

I haven't watched one of the Indiana Jones films in a while and recently this film was on TV. It's the last of the series starring the very gorgeous Harrison Ford as an architect. If you haven't seen at least one film you've never lived! In this film he tries to find his friend and return a crystal skull, I can't go into much detail without completely ruining the film. I love this film because of the cast, Harrison Ford still looks good with Grey hair, old characters make a comeback and new ones appear. The story is so well thought out and the ending is very cute! It's a bit of a cliff hanger which made me think there would be another film but sadly one is yet to come...

My rating:

Frozen (2013)
My all time favourite film obviously gets a five star review! If you haven't already watched it then where have you been, living under a rock? It is a Disney film about two princesses, one of whom has magical ice powers which she tries to hide and gets found out! I'm not going to tell you the rest, you're just going to have to watch it! It's truly amazing, the soundtrack is awesome, I know all of the songs off by heart and own several Frozen themed merch items. You're never too old for Disney films, especially this one!

My rating:

Trainwreck (2015)
A comedy film starring Amy Schumer, she's a commitment-phobe career woman who dates ass holes, loves sex and eventually comes across a really nice guy who is a doctor. She finds herself falling for him but then they hit a bump in the road. I'll admit I found bits of this film hilarious and the cast is great but it wasn't the funniest film of Amy's that I've ever seen... So it isn't a very high rating from me...

My rating:

Before I Fall (2017)
I'm currently reading the book on this but Netflix have made it into a film. It's about a girl who is very popular and her and her friends are a bit mean to everyone at school. After a car accident she ends up reliving the same day over and over again and she has to find away to break the cycle. This film is fab and follows the book quite well as far as I can tell. The ending is quite a shocker and the whole film makes you think twice about what you say in future and the impact all your actions in life have on others.

My rating:

Moana (2016)
I'm a huge Disney fan and when I saw this advertise I wasn't really fussed about seeing it, didn't think it looked that good... I finally decided to watch it and I regret not watching it sooner... It's an amazing film about a teenage girl who sails to find a demigod to restore a stone and save her island. Like every other Disney film it has a soundtrack and although it isn't as good as Frozen etc. it's definitely got some catchy ones on there! I loved the story, a couple of parts made me cry which is rare and I could happily watch this again and sing along!

  7. I've watched all these films, except for Moana though. I really like them but I'm a little disappointed with Ted 2 probably because the first movie was so good I had high expectations from the sequel.
