Drops Of Youth - Liquid Peel!

September 18, 2017

Hello lovelies,

I am so excited to share this product with you all! This is Drops of  Youth from The Body Shop, I've seen it in store a lot and never really paid much attention until last week when I read a blog post about it. This liquid peel costs £18 and is well worth the price. It claims to exfoliates and gently peel off impurities from the skin by lifting dead skin cells and residuals.

To use the product simple dispense 2 pumps (although I find 1 plenty enough) onto fingertips and massage onto your face for up to 20 seconds. This exfoliates the skin and dead skin cells literally clump together and become visible on the surface (see the picture below of me testing it on my hand). After that just rinse your face with water.

As you can see from the picture, the dead skin cells and impurities just balled up on the back of my hand. Imagine doing this on your face? It's extremely satisfying! The liquid itself smells sort of like a Mojito it's subtle yet very refreshing. It didn't cause any redness or skin irritation after use and it left my skin feeling gorgeously soft and exfoliated.

One thing I did notice afterwards was that it brought a couple of 'under the skin' spots to the surface but I also noticed they were gone after a day... I'm not sure whether this was due to the liquid peel or I was just lucky... But it definitely draw out impurities and if you have flaky patches this is a real lifesaver!

If you like the sound of this product check out the link below as there is a whole range of Drops of Youth products. Lauren x

  8. I tried something similar from THEFACESHOP years ago and yes, it's very satisfying! My skin loved it too but now I am more comfortable with acid exfoliators.

  15. I actually used this tonight and whilst I always find it disgusting how much comes off my skin, it does leave my face so fresh and smooth. One of my star purchases this year.
